The embrace of a beautiful pattern you create in the sand is transient, breaking apart with the next wave, regardless of whether it is a ripple or a tide. Why then did you draw it, to take the pains and effort to intricately leave an imprint on something so futile, so vain? What of the onlooker who wants to savour it for longer? How long it can stay embedded in the mind of a hopeless fool, I’d rather not know. Just leave it be, the sand and waves as separate entities that can never be united regardless of how often their paths cross. Only then can peace reign amidst a tempest.
