It reigns, an imperial vision in the night skies

eternally in pursuit of the pure white scorching moon

its body of ancient scales glimmering vermillion and gold fire

swirling up high towards the heavens where it commands the rain

to flow down to yet another generation of greedy mortals craving power.

    • Thank you! Glad you like it :). I actually don’t – well, not that much – I think the dragon deserves much more of a tribute because so much can be done with it – this just came about because my secret geek hobby is drawing dragons hahaha. I challenge you to write about one! I’d love to see what you can do with it 🙂

      • It is quite a good drawing. I think it goes to show that you are a woman of many talents – a genius writer, an amazing illustrator and even a virtuosa on the piano. Is there something you can’t do?

As for your challenge, consider it accepted. I’ll see what I can come up with tomorrow. 😉

    • Aww thank you Diana! I explained in another comment above that I’m not actually that happy with the piece because I think a much better job could be done by someone – I just love sketching dragons (amongst other things…but I do like oriental dragons hehe) so that’s why I decided to write a short accompaniment to the sketch :). You’re so lovely dear 🙂

      • You may not be happy about it, but I am! I like it! I appreciate art in any forms! And I believe you will be even better in the future than you already are right now. The poem is also perfect for the sketch! ❤
