The future is uncertain, you say
Maybe, perhaps, one day
We might walk across that barrier of time.
It is not a mountain, I think
It always depends, it must.
Will you grasp my hand,
or end this dalliance–
our fingertips spanned away
moving parallel but asunder.
Decide.
Make it possible then for me to someday hike from base again,
soon, just not with you in mind.
Probably,
but not,
I hope.

The poem itself is great, but combining it with title of just an algebraic equation to represent uncertainty, yet in math there is just one solution. I love a great title.

Thank you for my first blog comment! I’m glad you appreciate both the poem and title – I admit I spent quite a while editing that title with various other math symbols and the ‘=’ sign, but settled with the simplest version in the end. Extremely pleased it conveyed what I wanted it to 🙂
